This is the ‘Glory Hole’ spillway at the Gibson dam in Montana, USA. The gates are opened periodically to clean out the tunnel that leads down to the Sun River below the dam. This drop inlet spillway, located just upstream from the north end of the dam, has a capacity of 30,000 cubic feet per second !
