A youth was on Tuesday (September 24) mauled to death at Delhi's National Zoological Park by a white tiger when he accidentally fell into the enclosure while climbing its fence to take a picture. Though it is not clear how the youth fell into the enclosure -- eyewitnesses said he had tried to climb the fence but slipped. The tiger did not attack the youth for a few minutes but became violent after someone threw a stone at it and the guards started rattling the fence. Meanwhile, National Zoological Park has now clarified on the horrific incident, saying the enclosures of the zoo are absolutely safe and have also claimed that visitor crossed the standoff barrier and jumped into the enclosure which led to his death.
