Since the 8th century BC, the Olympic Games have risen to an international events with more than 200 nations involved. Now held every four years, with winter and summer games alternating two years apart, it’s one of the biggest events of the year. Archery, track, ski racing, bobsledding, gymnastics, shot put, along with many other events it’s no surprise that scandal rears its ugly head every now and then. What started out in Greece as friendly competition and fair play has turned into something very different in recent years. From nude photos to bribing judges to inappropriate status updates on social media, the Olympics games have seen it all over its many years. With an event this large though, who can be surprised?
