This is a drawing tutorial on how to draw an open rose, or a rose in full blossom with large petals. It's hard to get the petals right, but not if you use basic shapes to create some guidelines and then build on that. I also cover basic shading using hatching technique and blending, and I erase the image lightly at least 2 times in order to redraw it again and get a cleaner drawing. Flowers are really pleasant to draw anytime and anywhere!
