While the Nexus 5 is officially one year old, it still manages to compete well against many flagship smartphones currently on the market thanks to the new Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. It's still buttery smooth and fast thanks to the material design and performance improvements found in Android L. The main drawbacks for the one year old device are centered around the mediocre 8mp camera and battery life. Besides that, the quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of ram performs well.
