A fabulous dish of Lahore. It is very easy and less time consuming to make. It takes approximately 45 minutes to make this dish.
Mutton 2 Kg
Ginger 2 tablespoon equivalent when chopped
Garlic 2 pieces
Coriander - handful
Garam Masala 2 teaspoon
Red Pepper (Red Chilli Powder) 2-3 teaspoonfuls
Zeera (Cumin Seeds) 1 teaspoonful
Haldi (Turmeric Powder) 1 teaspoonful
Salt 2 teaspoonfulls or according to taste
Olive Oil 200 ml
No water is added at any stage.
1- Add all mutton pieces to pressure cooker.
2- Add thin chopped 6 onions and 6 Tomatoes to mutton.
3- Add Garam Masala, Chili Powder, Turmeric Powder and Salt to the above.
4- Close pressure cooker and cook on high flame.
5- Pressure cook for 15 minutes (including initial warming time and subsequent steam whistle time)
6- Remove steam and then carefully open pressure cooker.
7- Take 200 ml olive oil to open based deep pan (Karahi)
8- Add the contents of pressure cooker to Karahi
9- Cook for 15 minutes again until the oil seems to be leaving water
10- Add ginger, coriander, green chili and lemon to garnish.
11- You can serve with Nan Bread or Chapati Bread.
