This little Pocket Gun can shoot toothpicks with great accuracy, launch explosive tipped darts and shoot metal tipped toothpicks over 40 feet away !

In this video you will learn how to turn a simple lighter into a fun little Pocket Gun.

I found a way to load the toothpicks without making a notch in them. You can simply push a toothpick all the way back press on the nail and pull on the toothpick still while pressing on the nail until the nail catches in the spring. I found this kind of loading more reliable instead of making the trigger catch in the toothpick that wouldn't always hold it in place.

This "Mini Lighter Gun" can easily be shot at any angle, stick into apples from a distance of 8 inches and even 2 feet away without a metal tip on the toothpicks.

I added a metal tip to some toothpicks to make it more front heavy that lead to shooting at greater distances and better accuracy. This mini lighter "pocket pistol" is powerful enough to shoot metal tipped toothpicks into an apple, stick in cardboard and make a small dent a tin box.

Here are the average max range of the three ammo types in this video:

Metal tipped toothpicks - 59 ft
Explosive tipped toothpicks - 56 ft
Normal toothpicks - 27 ft

I ended with 3 prototypes of this lighter pocket pistol. But in the end, this design proved to be really great, ( the one shown in the video ) and a fun toy for me and my friends.

WARNING: Projectiles should never be shot at any living thing. Injury or damage may result. Shooting explosive tipped darts in your house is strongly discouraged. Competent adult supervision is advised when using the device. There may be other risks associated with these projects that have not been disclosed, or of which I am not aware. Use of video content is at own risk.
