Daya misses jethalal very badly and keeps on thinking about the good time she spent with him and remembering those days Daya could not control her tears. Its a Visarjan day of Ganpati bappa from Gokuldham society and every member of the society are dressed up in Maharashtrian clothes. All the ladies are beautifully groomed in Navvari saree but only Daya didnt wore navvari type saree as she exclaims that she is not feeling to wear it because she is missing jethalal badly and she was sad because jethalal has said her that he would be back home before Ganpati Visarjan but still he is not back. Knowing this all the ladies in the society makes Daya understand and with this she tries to hide her feelings but shows happiness for others and finally she comes wearing Navvari Saree and ofcourse she looked extremely beautiful and very traditional. And now its a time of last aarti of ganeshji in Gokuldham society before visarjan so everyone praises God ganesha and expresses their feelings of sadness of getting away and so even daya expresses that she has 2 reason to be sad one is that it is for the first time till yet she is doing aarti without jethalal and the other is that its the time for visarjan. And thereafter the aarti starts and finally, the vibe of jethalal coming back is felt by daya while doing aarti and when she opens her eyes she recognizes that its truly Jethalal who is doing aarti with her and knowing this her happiness has no bounds and finally she thanks Ganeshji for fulfilling her emptiness.
The show is inspired from the famous humorous column 'Duniya Ne Undha Chasma' written by the eminent Gujarati writer Mr. Tarak Mehta. This story evolves around happenings in "Gokuldham Co-operative Society" and covers topical issues which are socially relevant. The show predominantly revolves around 'Jethalaal' (Dilip Joshi) who is an uneducated Gujarati businessman. Your 'Taarak Mehta' (Sailesh Lodha), is his neighbour. 'Jethalaal' finds a friend and philosopher in 'Taarak Mehta' and often goes to him for advice whenever he is in trouble. Jethalaal's family includes his simpleton wife 'Daya Ben' (Disha Wakani) and a mischievous son 'Tapu' (Bhavya Gandhi). Tapu is a menace and a constant source of trouble to all the members of Gokuldham. They have often warned 'Jethalaal' to reform 'Tapu' or else be prepared to leave the premises. Lost hopes of being heard by his son pushes Jethalaal' to call his father 'Champaklal' (Amit Bhatt) from the village. This was his great idea of leashing some control over the mischievous Tapu. The opposite happens and the grandfather joins hands with the grandson to make life a roller coaster troublesome ride for Jethalaal.
