In the memory of Shaheed Captain Akash Aftab Rabbani. He embraced shahaadat on 15 July 2014 during operation "Zarb e Azb" in Mirali, North Waziristan.
Akash Aftab Rabbani was born in Abbottabad in 1990.He was admitted in ABBOTTABAD PUBLIC SCHOOL FROM where he did his Fsc with flying colors.He opted to join PAK ARMY at the behest of his grandfather who himself had been a soldier in WW2 in the eastern front.Akash passed out from Qasim II, 123 PMA LONG COURSE in 2011 and was commissioned in 47 artillery Regiment where he was posted in kharian, mangla, and sargodha during which he completed basic courses with zest and secured 3rd Position. He then volunteered to join SSG and completed commando course at cherat, After which he was posted to 4 Commando Battalion. His unit was then tasked in north waziristan at the time of launching of OPERATION ZARBE AZB where CAPT AKASH AFTAB RABBANI wrote with his blood the stories of BRAVERY AND VALOUR by leading from front particularly while gaining control of MIRALI SECTOR, where he embraved shahadat after being hit by 11 rounds of sniper and SMG and became FIRST SHAHEED OF OPERATION ZARB E AZB....He barely turned 24.He was single.He has left mourning parents with a brother who is Doctor and a sister who is also medical student. Akash SHAHEED's father is a famous professor of medicine.Her mother is renowned social worker and women's rights activist.Akash was very popular among his friends and he has a number of them still sobbing and crying for him.
