The family of cricketer Phil Hughes were among the spectators who witnessed the moment the 25-year-old was struck in the head and critically injured during play at the SCG.
The South Australian left-hander was on 63 when he was struck by a delivery from NSW bowler Sean Abbott during a Sheffield Shield clash.
Moments before, Hughes was at the crease fighting for a Test spot when he faced a bouncer from Abbott.
