Following the preliminary investigation, the National Table Tennis Association has suspended the player and coach from the upcoming National games.
According to report, the CCTV footage shows female players coming out of coach's room at 1.30 am during their stay at a Hotel in Andhra Pradesh. The team was there for the 76th Cadet National Sub Junior Competition.
The incident came to light, when one of the players informed about it to her parents.
According to the rules set by the Chhattisgarh Olympics Association, a woman coach should accompany the women's team in any event. Not just this rule was flouted but also the regular coach was not sent with the team.
Association’s chief secretary Amitabh Shukla has also resigned from his post.
Reacting on the issue Chhattisgarh Table Tennis president Sharad Shukla said that some 'light and fun interaction' happens between the coach and the team when they go out.
But, he refused to comment on the questions about what were the girls doing late night inside the coach's room.
