Rio Olympics 2016 highlights, injuries, best moments, & results. Day 1 of the Rio Olympics 2016 has just about finished, so I thought it would be worth simplifying the hours upon hours of sports shown on TV today to a short video featuring the highlights, gold medal winners, injuries, and world records broken.
This is a video for the Rio Olympics on August 6, 2016, and could be the first of many. I'll do one of these every day if people seem interested.

About the video title:
Many people have left comments asking me why I titled this video "highlights and best moments" when it's dealing with Samir Ait Said breaking his leg. Please note that I do NOT consider his injury a great moment or something amusing, the "best moments" part of the title doesn't apply to him. I will say that what happened to him is definitely a highlight, in the sense of it being the single part of the day that everybody remembers. Samir's broken leg was surprising, intense, dramatic, etc..., and thus considered a highlight. I don't think many people would disagree there.
That doesn't mean I revelled in his pain or anything.
I construct these videos throughout the day, piece by piece as certain things happen. I was already part way into making this compilation when I saw his injury, and the "highlights, best moments, results" title for this series of videos was already decided upon, and I didn't know what could be a good replacement. Now being several days into making these Rio Olympics 2016 recaps (as of August 10th), I'm not going to go back and change all of my video titles just because people don't like this one or don't get what I mean by "highlights". Hopefully this clears up all misunderstandings.
