This braid has been on my list for about 8 months, one that we've done from time to time on the girls after seeing it on the red carpet.

Kamri calls this the Tuxedo Braid, because the inside Dutch Braid looks like the ruffles of a vintage tuxedo, with the outer loose French Braid acting like the jacket of the tux.

This braid, having been around awhile, has also been called a Peek-A-Boo Braid. I am not sure where the style originated, but recently Diane Kruger wore it to the 2014 Fashion Awards show. One of our viewers, Gabi, even emailed me a photo for a much more relaxed version of this from Cosmopolitan magazine's website {http://www.cosmopolitan.com/style-beauty/beauty/how-to/a31363/hair-how-to-peek-a-boo-braid/}. We decided to bump it up the list and finally film a tutorial on it. While I like Cosmo's interpretation, the one we've done has always been a higher hide of the Dutch Braid, just like a tux's jacket. Thanks for the nudge, Gabi!

I would recommend trying this hairstyle on someone else first, just to get the hang of the centering for both braids. You can do it tight, or loose, it all depends on the look you are trying to create. Feel free to use hairspray or spray wax to help hold in flyaways.
