The blasphemy law in Pakistan has once again been brought into the spotlight after a court there sentenced Bollywood actress Veena Malik and her husband to 26 years in jail. The couple appeared in a TV programme on GEO News in which they reenacted their wedding. The show caused outrage amongst some Pakistanis because it showed people dancing to a religious song about the wedding of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad's daughter. Pakistan's blasphemy law allows anyone to file a complaint alleging their religious feelings have been hurt for any reason.
