Would you help make someone jealous? A lovely social experiment that spawned from the idea of filming a video trying to get girls to be scared of my “psycho ex-girlfriend.” Thanks for watching!

As we were filming, it shifted from a prank to a thoroughly fascinating social experiment because of the dichotomy between those who were so willing to make my ex jealous and those who wanted nothing to do with it. It was almost a50/50 split, which is why I think this social experiment is particularly interesting.

What I like most about this video is the fact that I never really told anyone WHY me and my girlfriend broke up, which I think would play a major factor in my decision to either help out or walk away. For instance, if the person got cheated on or was the cheater, the reaction would be entirely different. But for this social experiment, I tried to keep it as visceral as possible and see girls’ gut reactions. Only one person asked why we broke up, and it was the Asian guy.

I don’t want to draw any conclusions for you, but the fact that I put some more preachy clips at the end of this social experiment might lead you to believe that I think making someone jealous is wrong. But in reality, I think every situation is different. I’m curious to hear what YOU would do!
