The three mentors are ready with their teams to give a fight to each other on the stage. Sanjay Leela Bhansali & the Groups, Shreya Ghoshal & the Over 25s and Sonu Nigam & the Under 25s are ready to perform in the first live concert and the nation will decide their fate. Deewana Group, Last Minute, Nirmitee and Sajda Sisters enter the stage with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and an entrance AV on 'Dholo Taro'. Then Manjeera Ganguly, Amit Jhadav & Geet Sagar make a glamorous entry accompanied by their mentor Shreya Ghoshal, and perform 'Kaise Bataun Main Ye Daastan'. Finally, its Sonu Nigam's rocking entry on a Sports Bike and a stirring performance by Seema Jha, Sahiti, Shovon Ganguly & Piyush Kapoor on 'Tees Maar Khan'. Voting lines open for the first 6 performers of the episode. Mona Shewde backs out from the competition and Shreya Ghoshal has to select another contestant whom she wants to reveal later. 'Deewana Group' performs the soul rendering 'Khwaja Mere Khwaja'. They take Sufism to another level. Sonu Nigam can't help praising them. Shreya Ghoshal also gets touched by it and Sanjay Leela Bhansali claims that the performance connected them to God. Manjeera Ganguly, who earned the fame to be called Bengal Tigress, gorgeously sings 'Chhalka Chhalka' and get leave a mark at everyone's mind. The 20 year old rockstar from Lucknow, Piyush Kapoor, bangs the stage with his alternative version of 'Sawariya'. Sanjay Leela Bhansali likes it so much that he gives a rose to him. Group of 16 year old divas, Last Minute, present their innocent and entertaining version of 'Jawani Jaaneman'. Shovon Ganguly, performs a very difficult Javed Ali number 'Aaja Meri Tamanna' and surprises with the high notes and strong singing. The last performer of the evening, a complete performer, Amit Jhadav, astonishes everyone with his singing and dance. His controlled singing and groovy dance moves makes the crowd asking for more. Sonu Nigam complements him for his hold on singing and dance at the same time. At the end of the show, Deewana Group gets the performer of the day award for their soulful performance of 'Khwaja Mere Khwaja'. Then, Karan Johar gives a surprise visit to the show and announces that the winner of the competition gets a chance to sing for his upcoming movie. The next episode will showcase the remaining 6 performers including the new entry to Shreya Ghoshal's team.

Of this lot, the top 12 will be selected to participate in the Galas and prove their mettle to the entire nation

As one of the judges for X FACTOR INDIA' Sanjay has vowed to pick only the best.
Shreya Ghoshal: For Shreya life has come full circle, from a being a contestant on a reality show to being the judge on the biggest music reality show on Indian television. This gifted singer's first film "Devdas" not only saw her getting a Filmfare 'RD. Burman Award for New Music Talent' but also the 'best female playback singer' award. After lending her voice in more than 180 films and receiving four National Film Awards, she is all set to win hearts in her new avatar as a judge in X FACTOR INDIA.
