The Turkish Armed Forces (TAF) are the military forces of the Republic of Turkey. They consist of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force.
The Turkish Armed Forces collectively rank as the second largest standing military force in NATO, after the U.S. Armed Forces, with an estimated strength in 2015 of 639,551 military, civilian and paramilitary personnel. Turkey is one of five NATO member states which are part of the nuclear sharing policy.
The Pakistan Armed are the military forces of Pakistan. They are the seventh largest in the world in terms of active military personnel. The armed forces comprise three main inter–services branches: Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines, together with the number of paramilitary forces. Border clashes with Afghanistan led to the creation of paramilitary forces to deal with civil unrest and secure border areas.
The Indian Army is the land-based branch and the largest component of the Indian Armed Forces. The President of India serves as Commander-in-Chief of the army, and it is commanded by the Chief of Army Staff(COAS), who is a four-star General.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) "The Army of Defense for Israel, are the military forces of the State of Israel. They consist of theground forces, air force, and navy. The IDF is headed by its Chief of General Staff, the Ramatkal, subordinate to the Defense Minister of Israel; Lieutenant general (Rav Aluf) Gadi Eizenkot has served as Chief of Staff since 2015.
