"Zara chehre se"was inspired by the heart rendering lyrics written by Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddiqui who was born on the 15th of Ramadan in the year 1892.
Maulana Siddiqui had a thirst for and acquired advanced knowledge in Hadith, Science and Tasawuf. Travelling to every corner of the globe and having dialogue with intellectuals such as Sir George Bernard Shaw. He delivered hundreds of lectures and also found time to write several Islamic books and poetry in Urdu and English.
The opening verse and the chorus are written in the context of being in the presence of the beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In the final verse, Maulana Siddiqui pleads with Allah (SWT) to allow him a resting place near the Prophets mosque in Madinah, Allah (SWT) accepted his prayers and Maulana Siddiqui left this world for the hereafter at the age of 63, his body lays peacefully in Jannat ul Baqqi in Madinah.
