Akbar carries his baby's corpse with a heavy heart and completes the final rituals. He later goes on to hold Jodha responsible for the death of the babies as she was not beside the babies although she was asked to be. Rukaiyya too seems to be blaming Jodha for this incident but Salima Begum reminds her that it was she who had approved of Zeenat being the new 'dai maa' of the baby. As days pass, Akbar becomes a cruel and a heartless emperor filled with anger and seeing this Jodha feels bad. Later, Akbar decides to go on a war, but Jodha feels that Akbar is engaging in this war out of anger and decides to stop Akbar.
