Temptingly delicious tandoori chicken is very popular Indian item because of its' blazing hot appearance and unique taste.

The nicest thing of this is smokey flavor which it gets by tandoor( traditional clay oven).

However, since most people don't have a tandoor in their kitchen, they can do it in microwave following this video. There is another video recipe of chutney with which Tandoori Chicken is best served.

All you need to do is - get the ingredients from store and marinade the chicken in advance so that you can prepare it in jiffy.

1 large chicken approx 1 kilo, cut into 7-8 pieces
Curd: 200gm
Kashmiri red chilli powder: 2 tbsp
Cumin powder: 1 tbsp. Coriander powder: 1 tbsp.
Garam masala powder: 1tsp
Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tsp
Kasouri methi or Dry fenugreek leaves: 1 tbsp
Salt to taste and pepper 1tbsp
Mustard oil: 3 tbsp
Butter for basting
Lemon juice: 2 tbspĀ­
Red food color: 1/4 tsp
