As you can see, I am the original publsiher of this information with the video being uploaded in 2012. However, this method still works today. Any other video describing this method of finding your wifi password is a result of this video.

This method avoids loging into your router portal and it avoids using the command prompt.

If you have a question, please tell me what operating system (windows XP, Vista, etc.) you are using and specifically state what your problem is.

DISCLAIMER: This method for the most part works with windows 7. I am not sure if it works on XP. I tried the same method on vista, and I was able to get the same results, but I was not, however, able to view the characters. This may be due to the fact that I was not on an admin account when trying to view the passcode. For best results, be on an admin account. Please refrain from voting thumbs down if you cannot recieve your password, as it is not my fault nor is it the videos.As said before, this method should work for most people.
