Unlike other tutorials you may or may not have found on youtube, this tutorial works on any song.
software used in to video:
"audacity 1.3 Beta"(1st program used)(you can use the other audacity's as well)
"Adobe Soundbooth CS5" (2nd program used)
"Camtasia Studio"(for screen recording purposes)
"Soundbooth was only used for its ability to edit the "frequency display spectrum" there are other FREE programs that have this ability as well, "Garageband" being one of them I believe.
Quick written tutorial:
1) download the 1st two programs mentioned above.
2)find a song in a original .mp3 format(WAV tends to be really hard to separate vocals)
3)open the song in Audacity
4)strip vocals as showed in video. 0:10
5)export song as a .mp3 file.
6)open song in "soundbooth"
7)follow the video on how to edit the spectrum frequency(the more time you put into it, the better the song will sound).
8)finally export the song as a .mp3 and you are done!!!
