Insidious Chapter 3 is coming our way, thanks to it's overwhelming success at the box office. If you've seen Insidious Chapter 2, you are definitely left with a big ole question mark during the final scene of the movie. And, thanks to all of the Insidious fans out there, we will all have a third movie to explain ....wait, there's a mild spoiler right here...but explain what in the world Elise saw during that last scene!? Insidious Chapter 2 didn't garner much positive feedback from most critics out there, it only received a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes, but fans of the first film were so curious about where James Wan would take the Insidious mythology, that they all had to head out to get their horror fix. And thanks to you all, Chapter 2 brought in a whopping $40 million bucks at the box office, making it one of the largest horror genre openings ever. And because of that success, and the fact that these movies have such small budgets, it is no surprise that the studio had announced that we will be getting an Insidious: Chapter 3. But that's interesting is that Insidious director, James Wan has said that he was stepping away from the horror genre for a while, and he will likely be extremely busy directing the up coming franchiser, Fast and Furious 7. So, we aren't sure if Wan will be back to direct the third installment, as there is no mention of him returning in the press release. However, it seems as though Insidious writer, Leigh Whannell will be back to write the third script. So, Insidious fans....did any of you see Chapter 2 this weekend? And what did you think about it? And what do you want to see in Chapter 3? And the main question is could the franchise continue without James Wan at the helm? Sound off below, or over on twitter at ClevverMovies. Thanks so much for watching everyone. Im Erin White, and Ill see you in the next video.
