Iyer comes to jethalals home so as to collect the mobile phone that he had ordered from jethalals shop and daya finds it every where in the house but could not find it and so she informs jethalal about the mobile which is not at home. So then jethalal comes home so as to checkout the mobile that is misplaced but even he couldnot find it but he promises iyer that he might have forgot the mobile at shop so he will give the mobile by evening. Unfortunately, mobile is not in the shop also and so when he returns home he is tensed so as to deliver the mobile to babita. Suddenly, he remembers sunderlal who complimented about the latest mobile as he also wished to have a similar and so he expressed daya that he suspected sundar for stealing the mobile, to which daya got irritated and so threatening to jethalal for Blaming his brother and so she promised and threatened jethalal that if his brother had stolen the mobile she would break off the relation with him forever and if he doesnt have that mobile then she would cut off the relation with jethalal forever. Jethalal gets pissed off for getting stuck from both the sides. He remembers Mr.Mehta and rushes to him for some suggestions to this problem and so Mr.Mehta and Anjali both try to console daya and handle the situation but till that time daya calls up sunder to be back home as soon as possible which creates more tensed situation for jethalal
The show is inspired from the famous humorous column 'Duniya Ne Undha Chasma' written by the eminent Gujarati writer Mr. Tarak Mehta. This story evolves around happenings in "Gokuldham Co-operative Society" and covers topical issues which are socially relevant.The show predominantly revolves around 'Jethalaal' (Dilip Joshi) who is an uneducated Gujarati businessman. Your 'Taarak Mehta' (Sailesh Lodha), is his neighbour. 'Jethalaal' finds a friend and philosopher in 'Taarak Mehta' and often goes to him for advice whenever he is in trouble. Jethalaal's family includes his simpleton wife 'Daya Ben' (Disha Wakani) and a mischievous son 'Tapu' (Bhavya Gandhi). Tapu is a menace and a constant source of trouble to all the members of Gokuldham. They have often warned 'Jethalaal' to reform 'Tapu' or else be prepared to leave the premises. Lost hopes of being heard by his son pushes Jethalaal' to call his father 'Champaklal' (Amit Bhatt) from the village. This was his great idea of leashing some control over the mischievous Tapu. The opposite happens and the grandfather joins hands with the grandson to make life a roller coaster troublesome ride for Jethalaal.
