Jethalal finally informs the family on a breakfast table that they were not going to London & there's one chaos in the house... Champak is very upset he demands an explanation...Jetha then tell Champak everything, Champak asks Jetha if he was going alone...Jetha tell that he has decided that even he would not go to London as his family was not going with him. He tells Champak that he was more concerned about his family & their happiness...& he sadly leaves to go to his shop...Daya is in her room & she is thoughtful & thinks about Jetha as to how he was always concerned about his family & worked hard...just then Champak comes in her room. Daya tells Champak that she had decided that she would let Jetha to go for the business trip & tells Champak about Jetha's concern for his family...Champak also realises & supports Daya & so does Tapu...Champak calls up Jetha at shop & asks him to come home immediately...Jetha rushes home & they all tell him about their decision initially Jetha refuses but they all convince him...Jetha is very happy...he comes to Mehta's house & tells him every thing...Mehta is also happy for Jetha...
The show is inspired from the famous humorous column 'Duniya Ne Undha Chasma' written by the eminent Gujarati writer Mr. Tarak Mehta. This story evolves around happenings in "Gokuldham Co-operative Society" and covers topical issues which are socially relevant.The show predominantly revolves around 'Jethalaal' (Dilip Joshi) who is an uneducated Gujarati businessman. Your 'Taarak Mehta' (Sailesh Lodha), is his neighbour. 'Jethalaal' finds a friend and philosopher in 'Taarak Mehta' and often goes to him for advice whenever he is in trouble. Jethalaal's family includes his simpleton wife 'Daya Ben' (Disha Wakani) and a mischievous son 'Tapu' (Bhavya Gandhi). Tapu is a menace and a constant source of trouble to all the members of Gokuldham. They have often warned 'Jethalaal' to reform 'Tapu' or else be prepared to leave the premises. Lost hopes of being heard by his son pushes Jethalaal' to call his father 'Champaklal' (Amit Bhatt) from the village. This was his great idea of leashing some control over the mischievous Tapu. The opposite happens and the grandfather joins hands with the grandson to make life a roller coaster troublesome ride for Jethalaal.
