This is an extraordinary Wind Generator. The fan blades are made from a plastic bottle. As the blades rotate they spin two strong neodymium magnets in a coil made of 700-turns of insulated copper wire. The ends of the coil are attached to a LED. As the blades spin in the breeze the magnets turn and generate a current in the coil which can light the LED. This work was supported by IUCAA and Tata Trust.
