Gujarat's Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today joined in the joy and celebration of the Sindhi families on theoccasion of Cheti Chand.
Speaking as the guest of honour in a cultural programme organized by the Sindhi Community Celebration Committee at Sabarmati River front in Ahmedabad Chief Minister Narendra Modi conveyed good wishes of Cheti Chand to the Sindhi families.
Chief Minister exuded faith that India would once again establish bond with the Sindh region. He also complemented Sindhi people for keeping alive the great traditions of Sindhu civilization.
Mr. Modi announced to build a magnificent Jhulelal pilgrim place in 72-acre land near Narayan Sarovar in Kutch by people's participation.Convener of the Celebration Committee Mr. Narendra Somani delivered welcome address. MLA Dr. Mayaben Kodnani praised the leadership of the Chief Minister and assured that Sindhi communitywould always continue to give its contribution in the development of the State.
The children and artists of Sindhi community presented cultural programmes on the occasion.
