In a shocking disclosure, a Hindi daily on Tuesday reported that CCTV cameras installed in Delhi Metro trains have been used to capture couples' intimate moments. Not only this, the video footage captured have even been uploaded on pornographic sites.
While the acts were themselves indecent, what has shocked more is that the same found their way to porn sites and became viral.
As per the daily, so far 13 videos have been uploaded on porn sites and these have been viewed by nearly 1.5 lakh people. It is believed that many such videos have been made but are yet to come in public domain.
The footage recorded by security cameras in Metro trains and stations can only be accessed by DMRC officials and CISF personnel, who look after the security.CISF Director General Rajiv told the newspaper: "We are just the monitoring agency. DMRC controls the database into which this CCTV footage goes, and so the leak most likely happened at its end."
A DMRC official, refusing to be named, retorted that the videos are not just viewed by DMRC officials but also CISF personnel. So, it would be wrong to blame only Metro officials, he added.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered by the Delhi Police under I-T act in this incident.
