MR. 360°AB de Villiers Blasted 119 Runs Of Just 61 Balls Against India 5th ODI - SA 438-4 vs IND
AB de Villiers is doing more than any other cricketer to push the sport's boundaries, according to Marcus Trescothick.
The South Africa captain's latest jaw-dropping one-day innings - a 61-ball 119 - helped his side rack up 438-4 in the fifth and final ODI against India, securing his third century of the series.
De Villiers holds the record for the quickest ODI hundred and this year got to 8,000 ODI runs in fewer innings than any other player.
Two team-mates also reached three figures in the final game against India as de Villiers' trail-blazing Proteas matched their own, otherwise unequalled, achievement of scoring three individual tons in a single ODI innings.
And former England opener Trescothick, no slouch in the scoring stakes himself, says de Villiers is in danger of running out of achievements.
"It is just ridiculous," he told Sky Sports. "He is progressing the game forward in world cricket more than anyone else.
"What else can he do to really entertain us? It will be a double-hundred in a T20 game or something like that.
"He comes out and impresses, week after week, game after game, and always in spectacular fashion.
"It took 60 balls for him to get 119, with 11 sixes. He does amazing things.
"What left is there to do? What else can he produce for us all to watch on in amazement as spectators? But I love watching it."
