On August 31, 2012, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) ATR 42-500 (AP-BHJ) turboprop aircraft veered off runway during landing in rainy weather at Lahore's Allama Iqbal International Air Port (AIIAP). The aircraft met accident during its landing roll on Runway 36R. All forty-six persons aboard the aircraft including four crew members remained safe. Ten passengers received minor injuries in this accident. The ATR was operating flight PK-653 from Islamabad to Lahore.
