Samsung has been losing out on market share globally due to entering some segments later than others but one segment it doesn't want to miss out on is the selfie arena. The Korean smartphone manufacturer is reportedly making the Galaxy Grand Prime which is going to be a selfie focused camera. Let us take a look at its top 5 features:

The imaging module of the Galaxy Grand Prime calls for special attention. It has an 8MP camera at the rear with a LED flash which has support for 1080p video recording and the front camera unit will be a 5MP one which will be better than what we have seen on the Samsung devices till now.
The Galaxy Grand devices have always been midrangers and it gets one of the better mid range processors. It will come with a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with a 1GB RAM. It may not give you top of the line performance but is good enough for a mid ranger.
The smartphone will run on Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top of it. We appreciate the fact that Samsung has ensured that the new mid rangers run on the latest version of Android. It would probably get the Android L update as well in future because Samsung has a reputation of updating its mid range devices.
The display unit of the smartphone is a downgrade from that of the Grand 2 but is better than that of the Galaxy Grand. It has a 5 inch display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels which is just fine for a mid ranger. A 720p display would have been welcome but seeing the price tag it is working to achieve, we can live with a lesser resolution.
The Galaxy Grand Prime will come with a lower price tag as compared to its previous generations. It is rumoured to come with a price tag of $236 which would peg it as a sub Rs 15,000 price tag. It is going to come across as a Moto G rival this time around and will be a dual SIM device.
