After months of search, the king of all singing shows, X Factor, is ready with its Top 12 performers, who not only compete for winning but also for a lifetime chance of doing a playback singing in Karan Johar's upcoming movie. Dressed in beautiful Sarees, Sajda Sisters hit the stage with their glamorous performance and stun everyone with their singing on 'Aaj Ki Raat'. Filled with surprises it was unexpected to hear them singing a cabaret, that too in Sarees. Sahiti presents the hot 'Jiya Jale' in her own style. She earns a lot of appreciation for her pretty voice and gorgeous performance. Full of versatility, an RJ by profession, Geet Sagar, sets the stage on fire with his wickedly entertaining performance on 'Johnny Gaddar'. Sonu Nigam tells him that even he won't be able to sing the way Geet Sagar did. Shreya hugs him for making her proud. He has the eminent support of Royal Highness of Gwalior, Priyadarshini Raje. The flamboyant Seema Jha sings Lata Mangeshkar's 'Solah Baras Ki', a kind of song that contradicts her tomboy personality. Very smoothly and sophisticatedly she performs this difficult track and gets a rose from Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Full of imagination, Nirmitee Group, comes up with their Indian Hip-Hop version of 'Choli Ke Peechhe' and gets a standing ovation by Sonu Nigam. Aditya Narayan's requests them to make a new version of 'Naani Teri Morni Ko Mor Le Gaye', and they surprise everyone with their quick transformation of the lullaby. Shreya Ghoshal reveals the fourth contestant of her team, the 63 year old Kartar Singh Yadav, who can't express the happiness in words. He joyfully sings 'Raat Na Jaye' with serenity. In this episode, Sajda Sisters win the performer of the day award. Aditya Narayan asks the judge gurus to predict who will win the competition and seals the predictions in a box which will be opened in the final episode.

A singing show with a unique format that gives everyone a chance to showcase their talent. Open to all citizens of India over the age of 16, the auditions will be divided into 3 categories, viz. 16-25 years, 25 & above and individual groups. Participants that make through the final selection will then be divided into three groups with each group headed by a mentor. Of this lot, the top 12 will be selected to participate in the Galas and prove their mettle to the entire nation

Sanjay Leela Bhansali: Needless to say, one of India's greatest film makers having moved hearts right from his first film, Khamoshi -- The Musical to Hum Dil Chuke Sanam to Guzaarish, this producer, writer, director and recently turned musician has received several accolades for his creativity abilities. As one of the judges for X FACTOR INDIA' Sanjay has vowed to pick only the best.
Shreya Ghoshal: For Shreya life has come full circle, from a being a contestant on a reality show to being the judge on the biggest music reality show on Indian television. This gifted singer's first film "Devdas" not only saw her getting a Filmfare 'RD. Burman Award for New Music Talent' but also the 'best female playback singer' award. After lending her voice in more than 180 films and receiving four National Film Awards, she is all set to win hearts in her new avatar as a judge in X FACTOR INDIA.
